Gaming Posture: Stay Comfortable During Long Sessions
Gaming posture is shaped by the screen, the controls, and how long you stay locked into the match. Build the break into the game plan.
Put the screen where you look
Keep the main screen in front of you and close enough that you are not leaning toward small details. Bring the controller, keyboard, or mouse within easy reach so your shoulders do not stay extended forward.
OSHA's computer workstation guidance applies to gaming setups too: reduce awkward reaches and keep your feet supported.
Use natural breaks in the session
Stand after a match, between levels, or when you refill a drink. A break tied to the game is easier to notice than an alert that interrupts the part you care about. Walk for a minute and let your hands leave the controls.
Mayo Clinic recommends changing position during computer work. A comfortable chair does not make hours of stillness disappear.
Try a short exercise reset
Use chin tucks, wall slides, and a few shoulder circles. Uncurled can guide the sequence and remind you to repeat it on the next gaming day.
Stop if movement causes pain, dizziness, numbness, or unusual discomfort. Persistent symptoms deserve qualified advice.
