How Long Should You Do Posture Exercises?

The right posture session is long enough to practice a few movements and short enough that you will do it again tomorrow.

Start with five to ten minutes

A short session can include chin tucks, wall slides, a hip flexor stretch, and glute bridges. Move slowly, take breaks between exercises, and finish before the routine turns into a test of endurance.

If you are new to exercise, five minutes is enough to learn the movements and notice how they feel.

Add time only when repetition is easy

Keep the same routine for a week or two and see whether it fits your actual day. If you complete it consistently and still want more, add a movement or a second short session rather than making one session much harder.

NHS guidance recommends comfortable exercise and stopping when symptoms worsen. Time alone does not measure whether a routine is useful.

Use movement breaks between sessions

A ten-minute session cannot cancel eight hours of stillness. Stand, walk, and change position during desk work. Uncurled combines guided sessions with reminders so the habit is spread across the day.

Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, numbness, or unusual discomfort, and get qualified advice for ongoing symptoms.
