How Often Should You Do Posture Exercises?

Frequency matters because posture practice is a habit. Pick a schedule you can repeat, then use movement breaks to support it between sessions.

Choose a realistic starting schedule

Start with a short guided session a few times per week, or use a smaller daily routine if that fits your day better. The best schedule is the one that survives busy weeks rather than the one that looks impressive on paper.

Use the same cue, such as after work or before breakfast, so the session does not depend on deciding from scratch each time.

Spread movement across the day

Add standing, walking, and position changes during desk work. Mayo Clinic recommends regular breaks, and OSHA advises changing working positions. A single exercise session should not be your only movement cue.

Adjust based on how you feel

If a movement leaves you more uncomfortable, reduce the range or pause it. NHS guidance recommends stopping exercises that increase symptoms. Uncurled can help you track the practice, but the number of sessions is not a reason to ignore your body.

Ask a qualified healthcare professional for individual advice if you have an injury, medical condition, or persistent symptoms.
